Our Philosophy
TewTeg was founded in Austin, Texas by 3 friends who work out and have fun. We are the people who enjoy training. The grind more satisfying than the competition. The time when sweat is the currency, but no one is watching, counting, or scoring. Trying again and again to get better, all the while knowing this journey doesn’t ever have an end.
Our first product came from a basic need. How to keep the sweat from a hard workout off the car seat on the drive home. What went from a joking answer of “you need a towel with a hood on it” turned into a mission to solve an age-old problem with simplicity.
What we found was people like us were not going to put a car seat cover on our car. Just not going to do it. You might. I am not. Not aloof, just not into car seat covers.
What we also found was camaraderie in everyone who has tried to tuck the corners of a towel under the car headrest with guaranteed failure.
Enter the journey. Literally years of development. Prototyping, sewing, weaving, and adapting – from which the Tew Teg Towel was born.
Trying again and again to get better, all the while knowing this journey doesn’t ever have an end.
